My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Phoebe
Born ~ October 12, 2016, Calico Female Maine Coon Mix

Phoebe is a white-based calico. Her colors are jewel bright. She is approximately 13+ weeks old, but small for her age. Her face is beautiful with forward curling whiskers, Maine Coon ear furnishings and end tufts, and golden eyes. These give her a head start compared to many other Maine Coon mixes, but it may still take up to three years for her to fully develop her coat.

Although she is smallish, Phoebe is a kitten dynamo. She keeps up with her much larger brothers as they race around the house playing games and rolling across the floor in kitty tumbling matches. She also is a sweetie with cute, winning ways that make her the favorite of her brothers, people she meets and the resident foster cats. Phoebe has all the makings of a perfect lap cat. Everyone loves Phoebe. She particularly likes bedtime when she can crawl up and cuddle next to you and join her brothers in purring you to sleep.

Phoebe likes all sorts of cats. She likes all sorts people, too, but is a bit hesitant until she knows you. This probably is because she is a girl kitten who looks before she leaps, while her brothers leap before they look. She might do well as a solo cat in a home where she was the center of attention, or in a multi-cat situation with a good people/cat balance. In either case, Phoebe would love it if one of her brothers could come along.

Phoebe and her siblings Captain, Pilot, and Ranger were rescued by a cat trap/neuter/release person who noticed hungry kittens tucked beneath a log in the rain at sunset with no mom in sight. She scooped them up, brought them to rescue, and their great adventure began. These kittens immediately embraced people and the creature comforts of civilization. They still are small for their age, but good food, good care, and their own wills to thrive prevailed so they now are healthy and raring to go.

Phoebe eats wet and dry food and is litterbox perfect.

Phoebe’s foster mom is Diane in Sacramento County.
