Hello! I was sitting in a pound worried about my future when something good happened - a local vet tech school came and got me out so I could help the students learn about becoming vet techs. I have a lot of fun here at school and am treated very well, I get lots of attention. And they are helping me find a new home so I will have a place of my very own at the end of the semester which is March 10, 2017.
My name is Fred and I am about 5 yrs old. I am a mixed breed boy, yellow lab seems to be at least one of my breeds, maybe some shepherd. My owner gave me up as she said she could not take care of me and my other dog roommates anymore in my previous home. I am about 41 pounds. I prefer my dog friends to be calm and not rowdy. I am a very sweet boy!

NOTE: This dog was pulled from a pound by a local school to help teach students become vet assistants. The semester will be over March 10, 2017. We are helping this dog find an adoptive home or a rescue group by then. Adoption fee is $65 for dogs and includes spay/neuter, shots, heartworm testing for dogs, microchip, deworm, flea preventative.
