Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Sweet, Gentle Bear Needs a Home to Call His Own
6.5-year-old, male, large, German Shepherd
Good with other dogs: Yes
Good with children: Yes
Good with cats: Yes
Sweet Bear needs a place to spread out and hang out with his people. He’s been cooped up in small apartment, which is tough on a German Shepherd, even a mellow guy like Bear.
His previous owners tell us that Bear is a super sweet guy who just wants to be loved. The best part is he’s already housebroken, walks on a leash and is fine when left alone in the house. He’s not destructive, not a barker or chewer, just a handsome, sweet boy who really loves attention.
His owners tell us that Bear is good with children, as he currently lives with them. He also is OK with cats and other dogs. He does have some arthritis in his hips, so they are a little sensitive and he does take daily, low-cost medication.
Bear would do best in a home with a yard where he has room to roam, but is treated as a member of the family and gets to sleep and hang out with his people indoors. He’s calm and mellow, so no overly exuberant children or large dogs that might run into him and cause him pain.
If you can provide a loving, indoor home for Bear, please fill out our online application to get the approval process started. We will only schedule meet and greets with an approved application. All staff members are volunteers and are not compensated for their time and expenses. Many juggle family and full-time careers while volunteering at Saving Paws. Please be patient, as sometimes it takes up to 5 days to process an application.
