My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sugar and Spice and everything nice! Sweet and cute as a button, this two year old Tortie is a shy girl, but once she gets to know you, loves being petted and having the back of her head and the base of her tail scratched. Spice doesn't have a big meow, but in keeping with her quiet demeanour, she has a soft rumbling purr! She usually likes to play alone, so you’'ll often hear her chasing a mouse after everyone has gone to bed. Spice's favourite toy is the mouse that squeaks when it moves. Spice lived with three other kittens in her foster home who loved to play, but she preferred to watch them rather than join in. Spice is a very timid girl who is still very shy around people. She will need someone who is willing to be patient with her as she learns to trust you, and who will work with her to help her be more outgoing. She doesn't like the feeling of her paws being off the ground, but she feels much better once she's settled in your arms or on your lap. Spice would be happy to curl up in a cardboard box with a soft blanket and watch the world from a safe place until she gets to know you better. When she's comfortable, she will come out when you bring her wet food or Temptations. She might even purr for you! Spice does not like to be alone, so she would love to have another calm, non-dominant cat companion for company. Spice has had all but two of her teeth removed. It doesn't hurt her at all, but she prefers smaller kibble so she doesn't have to work so hard to eat it. Spice would do best in a mature, quiet home, with no children under the age of 12.

Spice was found outside with her kittens, and a nice girl fed them until they were brought inside. Her kittens have all found their forever homes, and now it is time for Spice to find her own forever family!

If you think you can provide the loving, patient and nurturing home for our sweet girl Spice, she would love to meet you!

Spice is current on vaccinations, spayed and microchipped.
