Here's what the humans have to say about me:
IDGSR WELCOMES ARROW INTO THE SAFETY OF THE RESCUE!!!!
Arrow was pulled from a high intake shelter that destroys animals when their 'time's up", meaning a stray hold but no owner showed up and if no adopter is coming in, the pet is out of time. Arrow is a high energy girl who has shown her true colors of being a working dog. Arrow is likely a Malinois high content mix, she's about 60-65 lbs. and is a full of Life, full of Energy, and that Intensity that comes with working dogs who are all about having fun, fun, fun. Arrow will benefit from standard obedience work but she already knows commands and is eager to learn more. She would do best with a very active family. Runner? Hiker? She is not a couch potato, she is quite a character and you can see her silly self in these video links here that you can copy and paste to view.
Arrow will need a strong pack leader, one who will help her realize she's not in charge. She's a young adolescent that is somewhat full of herself so it's imperative to advance obedience train this youngster and help her realize life is about self control. A well behaved dog is a dog who possess sense of self and self control but they can't get there on their own. They need a patient, loving family member to help them achieve this. We fully believe you need to give your Working dog a PHD in obedience training. You get what you put into it and having a well trained dog is a pleasure and joy and great bond.
If you would like to apply to adopt Arrow, please put an application in to IDGSR by copying and pasting the link below.
