My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Clara Will Bring Grace and Class to Your Home

8-year-old, female, large, mostly black, German Shepherd
Good with other dogs: Selective
Good with children: Unknown
Good with cats: Unknown

Sweet Clara is as gorgeous and refined as an English country garden. This girl was pretty sick with an upper respiratory infection when Saving Paws brought her into the rescue. She had a bad upper respiratory infection. But, Clara is all better now and has captured the hearts of all the volunteers in just a few days.

Clara is so sweet and friendly. She wants nothing more than to hang out with people and get lots of love. She’s very affectionate and loves massages and rubs! And she’s so cute when she knows it’s time for her breakfast or dinner. She talks to everyone throughout the preparation process to encourage them to move faster!

She is fairly selective in choosing other dogs with whom to strike up a friendship. So a meet and greet with other furry family members is a must. But this girl would be such a wonderful companion for a quiet, but loving and affectionate family. And we don’t know whether she’s good with children, but with her sweet disposition, it’s hard to imagine she wouldn’t be.

If you can give our lovely, sweet girl Clara a forever, indoor home, please fill out our online application to get the approval process started. We will only schedule meet and greets with an approved application. All staff members are volunteers and are not compensated for their time and expenses. Many juggle family and full-time careers while volunteering at Saving Paws. Please be patient, as sometimes it takes up to 5 days to process an application.
