My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello World,
My name is Toby and I’m an adorable 10 month old bichon puppy who is, well, an adorable puppy. I have big black eyes, a darling face and I can run like the wind.
My foster Mom calls me “Super Glue” because I bonded with her in about two seconds. She says I’m a happy, energetic love bug. And she is right. I love her a lot, am learning to love new people, found I can ride nicely in the car, get to go for long walks, take naps, sit on laps, and hang out. Mom says I’m great times ten!

I have a playful personality, my tail wags always (even sometimes when I’m eating) and I’m about as full of love as any little guy can be. Oh, and did I tell you I like to snuggle? Well, I do! Mom is pretty sure that I’m also the most ‘courteous snuggler’ she knows. What she means is that when I wake up in the morning I wait quietly until the alarm goes off, check to see if Mom’s eyes are opening and, as soon as I know, I’m ready to lick her into ‘awakeness’ and start another exciting new day!

What would I like in a forever family? Well, for one thing I would really like another dog my own size, and near my age to play with and from whom I can learn lots of new things. I would like a fenced in yard with a lawn, trees, and other fun things to sniff. And going to doggy training would be such fun! I could learn to walk on a leash better, learn things like sit and stay, improve my manners a little, and maybe even learn to use a computer. (Well maybe she didn’t mean the computer part!)

In new situations I can be uncertain and shy. I sometimes bark and occasionally growl. Once I get more comfortable in the situation, I can relax.

So if you are looking for a cute little guy who has TONS of promise and lots of charisma (I didn’t know what that was but Mom says it’s a good thing) who wants (and needs) lots of attention, is smart, happy and has a whole lot of love to share, please complete our application and ask for me.

Tail wags and kisses,
Trainable and Terrific Toby
