Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi People!
I’m Skippy, a cuddly, fun-loving, energetic and delightful Bichon mix between two and three (years, that is) who loves everyone and everything! I’m pretty puppy-like in many ways – in fact I spin in circles when I’m excited I want everyone to know that Life is Good! I love my foster family! I love car rides! I love walks! I love to play. And I especially love kids!
Dad says that I am very smart, social and that I love to please. He says I’m one of the most funny and endearing furkids he has ever met. (Aw, Dad, you are making me blush!) He says I get along with everyone and love to learn. Why I’m learning commands like ‘sit’ and ‘wait’ and there are a lot more that I can learn. Dad says I give clues about what I need and he knows how to interpret those clues (Dad is really smart, too.) So when I want a belly rub or play he knows just what to do!
Everything is my favorite thing to do! Especially if it involves doing something with my family. Did I mention that I’m housebroken, am learning to chase the ball (and bring it back) and that I’m a lot of fun?. Mom says that, like most bichons, I enjoy having my people near me and I’m also comfortable being an ‘only’ pup in the house.
Before I became a furkid I was in this place called a shelter. The people there did something called ‘grooming’ (but Mom says it was more like shaving off all my hair.) Well if you look at my ‘before’ picture you will see that I had lots of soft white curls. They are slowly coming back and soon I’ll be a white fluffy guy again, rather than the shaved down version I am right now.
Above all I’m a happy, healthy, exuberant little guy who loves life and am the perfect family companion. They say when you meet me you will fall in love. (It’s nice to be appreciated, you guys!)
I would love to have my very own family to share my joy and love, and definitely children or grandchildren would need to be a part of my life! In return, I will do my best to keep everyone smiling and feeling important and loved. (That will be easy for me because whatever family adopts me will be my whole world.)
So if you are looking for a best friend who will be no trouble and will give lots of cuddles, then I am the dog for the job. And I am ready for my life’s next assignment.
I’ll be watching for you,
Sociable, Sometimes Silly and Very Special Skippy
