My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

"Oceana" is a beautiful 3-year old female kitty who was surrendered to the HSOV on January 5, 2017 with several of her former housemates because their mistress had passed away.

"Oceana" has a brown tabby short smooth coat with orange highlights, a long ringed tail, and a very pretty (chubby-looking) face with a tiny white milk mustache. She has a lovable, rather demure, personality. This sweet girl purrs and loves extra TLC. "Oceana" weighs 7 lbs. and was given wormer and flea treatment on January 5, 2017. She was not given vaccinations because (sigh) she is pregnant :(

"Oceana" was offered the hospitality of a temporary home by one of our wonderful foster mothers and went home with her on February 6, 2017. "Oceana" has settled in nicely and is the perfect house guest according to her foster mom. She is relaxing and taking life easy while she awaits the birth of her kittens.

We are seeking a rescue group who would be willing to take "Oceana" into their care (either before or after her kittens are born). Rescue groups may contact our Feline Rescue Coordinator via email (sharonpaul2@suddenlink.net). We can usually help with transportation and also provide combo testing without charge to rescues.

UPDATE: Sadly, "Oceana" gave birth to one stillborn kitten (Harbour) in the early morning hours on February 18, 2017. She is resting comfortable and being given extra TLC by her foster mother as she recuperates from her loss. "Oceana" will be spayed in the near future. She will remain in foster care until she is ready to find a home of her own where she will be loved and cherished by someone special.

"Oceana" was combo tested on February 22, 2017 and is negative for feline leukemia and FIV. She was spayed on April 4, 2017 and was also given rabies vaccine.

Sadly Oceana passed away unexpectedly on May 12, 2018 (possibly due to a reaction to vaccines) :( She was adopted in the heart of her foster mother and knew she had her forever home
