Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This is Hero. This beautiful 2 year old boy needs a child free home ASAP (he is being kept in a cage in the meantime). A typical Akita, he is reserved with strangers, but once you get to know him, he is a mush. He is very smart - knows sit, stay, come, speak, roll over. He literally will not move even to get his food until you tell him it's ok! His family is heartbroken that they have to make this decision but know it will be the best for him. He came from a breeder in Oklahoma, is neutered, UTD on shots, good with the other dog in the home as well as his adult people. He has never been around cats. Located on Long Island, we would love to see him with an experienced dog owner, especially one that understands the Akita breed. Contact Joanne at jo@paws-li.org
