Chester's Story...
Chester was found at a gas station and taken to a shelter, but luckily fostered the same day. Chester is 7-9 weeks old. So cute, playful, curious and sweet. He follows the big dogs around. He sleeps in a crate and relaxes in crate even with door open. Eating 3 times a day. Loves to chew on everything. Will pee/poo outside, and on pad in crate. Not sure of breed, but likely will be a small-Medium 20 lb dog when grown. He is healthy, happy and wanting a playful & loving home.

Our process includes an approved application, reference checks, a homevisit, and once
approved a meet and greet with the dog. Please note that preference is given to adopters in
Wisconsin, but out of state adoptions will be considered. Adoption fee is $250.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chester, a Fort Atkinson Cairn Terrier puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cairn Terrier for sale in Fort Atkinson, or seeking a Cairn Terrier puppy from a breeder in Fort Atkinson.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Fort Atkinson already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Fort Atkinson breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cairn Terrier breeders who help with Cairn Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Fort Atkinson paves the way for another one to be saved.
