Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Cliff, a 10 month old, 31 pound retriever mix, is a very young fellow who’s got a life of living ahead of him. He’s still just a pup, and that means that he has a lot of great things to learn and to experience, and we are so glad that we get to be the ones who will see him adopted into a home that will give him the love and care he needs! Cliff is almost house trained, very nicely crate trained, and he learning to walk on a leash with a harness. He’s very good in his crate, day or night, foster mom says. He’s quiet and settles down quickly with a chew toy. Cliff has enjoyed the company of other dogs. Foster mom says that he is very eager to play with other canines, but he can get a little over excited. Cliff does like to chase the cats in his foster home, but he’s not aggressive with them, and with a little patience and redirection, he will probably be able to live with them nicely. We think Cliff will do best in a family with older children who can help train him and work with him. He’s a medium energy guy who does love to chase birds and chew sticks, but foster mom says he settles down quickly. He’s very eager to please, 100% puppy, and very well behaved. He loves to hike and walk, and he has been known to enjoy Frisbees! He can be a little mouthy (not a big surprise for a puppy), so we’d encourage the usual redirection to let him know that his affections would be best expressed with gentle kisses. Foster mom says that he is a very lovable and affectionate boy who enjoys the company of people very much. He has even greeted all of the guests that have come to foster mom’s house with friendly tail wags, and aside from a bit of puppy jumping, he’s been the perfect gentleman. With his eagerness to learn, we think he will be a fantastic companion!
