Copic's Story...
Copic is 6mo old DSH male 1/2 white & 1/2 orange tabby. Very high energy, loves to romp around with Blackie our 2 1/2yr old foster. He also likes to play soccer w/any cat ball, run up & down stairs & cat shelves. He does like love from his human, he'll sit in my lap on his own or if I put him in your lap, soak up rubs & scratches from hands, sometimes he'll bite & scratch you to play, don't let him, keep hands still or away & he'll stop. Uses cat box well, eats dry food anytime & wet food once a day. Purrs really loud. He can be a little skittish, it's gonna take time to adjust.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Copic, a Palatine Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Palatine, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Palatine.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Palatine already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Palatine breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Palatine paves the way for another one to be saved.
