Goose is a very handsome 1 year old Labrador Retriever mix. He joined our rescue from a high kill shelter where he was only hours from being put to sleep. Goose is such a wonderful dog. He is a calm boy with a gentle demeanor. He plays nicely with dogs of all sizes. Goose is good with kids and cats with proper introduction. He is house broken and crate trained. Goose is such a good boy, but could use a little obedience training. He is a smart, motivated boy that is a quick learner and already has wonderful recall! Why Adoption is a Great Option

Goose, a New Milford Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in New Milford, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in New Milford.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in New Milford already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a New Milford breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in New Milford paves the way for another one to be saved.
