Here's what the humans have to say about me:
KIT KAT is a beautiful black girl, who came to our shelter as an owner surrender on 2-19-17, She arrived with a "broken tail" and we are not sure how that injury happened. This little girl is only about 9 months old, has the most stunning, shiny fur! She is extremely friendly and will come to the front of her cage, seeking your attention. Start to pet her head and she will push at your hand for more... talkative, enjoys telling you all about her day in her petite, little voice. At this point, it would be best if KitKat were an only cat or if adopted into a home with another cat, the family needs to have patience with her, as she is scared at the present time. KITKAT is currently being featured at PetSmart in Woodhaven... please visit her there. If you have any questions regarding adopting this kitty, please contact WAC via email.
The animals that are posted are available, unless it is stated 'adopted'. If one is 'pending' you still may submit an application in case the adoption does not go through. The Wyandotte Animal Adoption Center has created a committee who reviews all applications before releasing any animal to a new home.
If you visit our homepage www.wacshelter.com where there are links to the questionnaire/application that helps us to place the animals into homes that match both the adopterâÂÂs and animalâÂÂs needs. Wyandotte Animal Adoption Center reserves the right to decline the adoption of any animal for any reason if it feels the home will not be a good match.
IMPORTANT PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING:
We will make every attempt to contact approved applicants within 5 business days of application submission (M-F), but this will depend on the number of applications received.
Please understand that by answering the questions does not guarantee the adoption of the pet, nor are you obligated to adopt the pet.
We adopt to homes that are best fits for our animals' needs, and not on a first-come, first-served basis.
*ADOPTION FEE: Cats are $65 (cash only-sorry we can not make change) that includes spay/neuter, distemper vaccine combo test. Rabies vaccine if old enough. If you are adopting a kitten or cat please bring a carrier.
Hours for Adoptions:
