My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Teddy is a 4 year old English Mastiff that is currently being fostered in Louisiana. He really is a dream dog because he is great with adults, kids, dogs, and cats of all sizes. Teddy does not realize how big he really is and sometimes will accidentally knock over little children. For this reason, we do not recommend that he goes to a home with children under the age of 10. He is housebroken, crate trained, great on a leash and has basic obedience training. He is heart worm negative and very healthy. When he was a puppy, he had a scratch on his eye that was unable to be healed with medicine. Unfortunately, Teddy did lose his eye at a very young age, but that has not affected his quality of life at all. To meet him, you would never know that he is missing an eye. Since it happened at such a young age, it made it easier for him to adjust to life without both eyes. He has no long term side effects at all! If you are interested in Teddy or any of our other dogs, please feel free to email us at: info@bullpenrescue.org.

We highly recommend that our potential adopters fill out an online application as soon as possible, as it greatly expedites the process of finding the right dog for your situation. The adoption app is available on our website (www.bullpenrescue.org) under the 'work with us' tab. If you choose not to fill out an application before inquiring about a particular dog, please briefly tell us about yourself, family, and lifestyle since this will help us determine if the dog you’re interested in is a good match.

Our dogs are available for adoption nationwide but preference is given to adopters willing to do an in-person meeting. Please understand that our dogs are not adopted on a first-come, first-serve basis, but rather we strive for a “perfect placement” so we know that they will not be failed again.
