Josie is a dog that truly, truly wants to be cuddled and loved. She is a 48 pound, 3 year old terrier/pit mix who has all the makings of being one of those ‘I will love you forever’ kind of girls. She’s a medium energy girl who has been nicely crate trained, is learning to walk politely on her leash, and is just about 100% house trained. She might have an accident in the house if she’s left to roam for long periods of time, but if she’s left in her crate, she’ll wait to go out. Josie enjoys the company of other dogs, and she has enjoyed the company of older children. With her excitement toward them, we think she’d do best with kids that were old enough to interact with her and learn how to help her be calm. Josie is described by foster mom as an affectionate, eager to please, well behaved, joyful, people loving dog! She is not allowed on the furniture at home, but she will try to crawl into the lap of anyone who gets down on her level. Josie knows sit, and she loves to play with her peanut butter filled Kong. She loves bouncing in the snow, and she enjoys playing ball. Josie is a quiet girl, although she will join in with foster mom’s own dog if that dog starts barking. She loves to be picked up and carried by foster mom’s older son, and in general, she just loves attention and affection.
