KODI IS BEING FOSTERED IN THE RICHMOND VA AREA. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN KODI, GO TO WWW.MOMSRESCUEVA.ORG AND COMPLETE AN APPLICATION.

Hello. My name is Kodi and I’m about a year old. I was in a foster place in NC when I was only 4 months old and now I have been taken in by some great people at a veterinary office.  MomsVA is helping to spread the word to try and find me a forever home.

I’m a bit shy with new things but once I warm up I really like to play and hope to find a family that makes me feel safe and has time to spend with me. I’m part Red Heeler (which means I am S-M-A-R-T).  I have had some ‘basic training’ and I am a quick learner. I like to use my brain so I would love to be with a person/family who makes me think and learn new things.

I am also part Beagle (which means I like to be in a pack) and part Lab (which means I really want to please my person/family). I would be my most happiest if I have some room to roam, interaction during the day, and a family that has experience raising an active puppy like me!

If you have been looking to gaze into big brown eyes like these and you LOVE to play, then go to www.momsrescueva.org to complete an application and see if we could be a perfect match!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Kodi, a Richmond Australian Cattle Dog/Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Cattle Dog/Beagle for sale in Richmond, or seeking a Australian Cattle Dog/Beagle dog from a breeder in Richmond.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Richmond already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Richmond breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Cattle Dog/Beagle breeders who help with Australian Cattle Dog/Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Richmond paves the way for another one to be saved.
