Here's what the humans have to say about me:
We rescued Petey by a fortunate stroke of luck in time and circumstance.
While we were visiting the shelter, a woman came to the intake desk to return a recently adopted dog. She said she already had 4, and her adult son adopted the dog without her permission. She then threatened to dump the dog on the side of the road if the shelter did not take it from her (the shelter insisted her son, the adopter must be the one to surrender.)
Not only is the AGAINST THE LAW, it is also just plain lack of respect for life, honor and decency to threaten to dump an animal. There are a lot of people we can blame for how this happened, but it is not the dog's fault, and yet, he is the one who suffers.
Petey was moments away from being abandoned, so what could we do but take him with us!
Petey was in a bad spot and almost back into a bad place through no fault of his own. We know someone out there will love and cherish this young, sweet, loving sweetheart!
Vetted, neutered, wormed and vaccinated, housetrained and good with dogs and kids!
