My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Blanca is a pretty Dogo Argentino that is approximately 1 1/2 years old and being fostered in Louisiana. She was found wandering on the side of the road and saved by a good Samaritan. She is very friendly with men and women as well as dogs of all sizes. Blanca is curious about cats and children but has not been tested with either of them just yet. She is very shy and timid when meeting people for the first time, and sometimes she cowers as if she is in trouble. It does not take her long to warm up to new people if they are willing to be patient with her initial hesitation. Once she warms up to people, all she wants to do is cuddle. Blanca has almost perfected crate and obedience training and is getting the hang of house breaking and leash training. She does not have accidents in the crate and is getting better each day with going outside to use the bathroom. She is heart worm positive, up to date on vaccines, spayed, and micro-chipped. If you are interested in Blanca or any of our other dogs, please feel free to email us at: info@bullpenrescue.org.

We highly recommend that our potential adopters fill out an online application as soon as possible, as it greatly expedites the process of finding the right dog for your situation. The adoption app is available on our website (www.bullpenrescue.org) under the 'work with us' tab. If you choose not to fill out an application before inquiring about a particular dog, please briefly tell us about yourself, family, and lifestyle since this will help us determine if the dog you’re interested in is a good match.

Our dogs are available for adoption nationwide but preference is given to adopters willing to do an in-person meeting. Please understand that our dogs are not adopted on a first-come, first-serve basis, but rather we strive for a “perfect placement” so we know that they will not be failed again.
