Here's what the humans have to say about me:
DIVA - Female, Chihuahua/Whippet mix, 1yr, 24lbs.
Diva was picked up in the street in very bad shape: mange, skinny, erlichia. Now, she's super happy, playful and affectionate. Diva has been at the shelter for 8 months.
Diva has a fear of men so we require she go to a woman only household.
Update: It is clear that Diva has had a very harsh life, even though she is only 1 year old. Diva is such a loving girl who loves to cuddle up beside her foster mom and places her paw on her hand. She was not a fan of her foster siblings when she first arrived but now can be found playing a fun game of tug. We do think that a home with no other dogs is a must for her as she does have some issues and should be a focus of the home. She is fine with her foster cat, curious but fine. She will require a home that can show her a lot of patience, and positive reinforcing to help her overcome her fear and trust issue with people. She can become very fearful of people when she is uncertain. Once she finds the right home that will show her the love and kindness she has never known she will flourish into the amazing dog we know she is. Her foster family will continue to work with her to show her that humans are not bad and they are there to love and spoil her. If you think that you can offer her a home please send in your application in for this sweet girl and you will be rewarded with her cute little snarl face she does when she is playing.
*Breed is unknown as this dog has come from a shelter in Mexico. We have chosen the breeds that we believe resemble the dog the most!
