Aspen's Story...
Hi, I'm Aspen! I am one of the most playful, funny dogs you could meet. My vet records say I am just over a year old, but I still play like I am a young puppy. I love to play with other dogs of any size but when they don't want to play, I go grab a rope toy and play around with it. I am a very quiet dog. I only bark when I hear other dogs barking. I am very eager to please you and love to give kisses. I am slightly shy, but within a very short while, I come out of my shell. I am crate trained and completely potty trained. My foster mom is so happy to say that I have never had an accident. I like to chew on Nylabones and Kongs rather than things you probably don't want me to chew on. I don't even mind being in my crate when my family is away. If you'd like to get to know more about me, please send an email to info@habitat4paws.org.

**Because we require home visits, we only adopt locally to the Dallas/Fort Worth area. For more on adoption policies, please see the "Adopt" page of our website, www.habitat4paws.org.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Aspen, a McKinney Hound (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Hound (Unknown Type) for sale in McKinney, or seeking a Hound (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in McKinney.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in McKinney already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a McKinney breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Hound (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Hound (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in McKinney paves the way for another one to be saved.
