Shadow's Story...
Shadow, Senior Female, 60 pounds, Richmond VA Courtesy Listing

Hello there. My name is Shadow because I love to be a shadow to my person. Sadly, my owner moved out of state and could not take me. I really miss having someone that I can be close to. I am staying with a nice person who took me in but there are cats here and I am just not a cat-loving girl so that means I have to be apart from my caretaker at times.

I am house-broken and very well-behaved. I’m 11 years young so I don’t need constant activity and I am not a chewer. I love a good walk and to run around outside a bit. But I am happiest to snuggle close to you (especially if you let me on the couch with you – but I won’t jump up if I’m not allowed). I really love any chance I can get to snuggle!

I really want to find a special person who wants to spend time with me. If you're looking for an affectionate, fun, low-maintenance furry partner to hang out with, go to www.momsrescueva.org to see if I am a perfect match for you!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Shadow, a Richmond Boxer/Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer/Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Richmond, or seeking a Boxer/Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Richmond.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Richmond already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Richmond breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer/Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Boxer/Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Richmond paves the way for another one to be saved.
