Chong's Story...
*Male brown tabby and white
*Medium hair
*Paired with his brother Cheech
-These two brothers came into a shelter in horrific shape as small bottle babies. They were taken in by a foster that took awesome care of them and got them healthy again! They had mites and were missing a ton of fur, plus they had upper respiratory infections. On top of all of that, they developed ringworm! So these boys have had a hard time of it. When they couldn't kick the ringworm, the shelter was going to euthanize them, so we took them into our rescue to get them better and find them good homes. These guys are currently in their second foster home because their first was too contaminated with ringworm, but they are doing much better now. We will make sure their ringworm cultures are negative before adopting them out. These guys are very sweet and friendly and love laps and cuddling :) Cheech and Chong have their FVRCP shots (plus boosters), rabies shots, FIV/FELV negative tests, and are neutered and microchipped. They do good with other cats and dogs. These guys are INDOOR ONLY, and adopters must sign a contract that they will never be declawed. Adoption fee is $75 per kitten, but since Cheech and Chong must be adopted together, their adoption fee is $125. Please fill out our adoption application here if interested:

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chong, a Edinburg Domestic Mediumhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Mediumhair for sale in Edinburg, or seeking a Domestic Mediumhair cat from a breeder in Edinburg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Edinburg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Edinburg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Mediumhair breeders who help with Domestic Mediumhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Edinburg paves the way for another one to be saved.
