Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Harpo is a beautiful mixed breed dog , who’s about 3 years old and weigh 55 pounds. He’s house trained and crate trained, and is learning to walk well on leash. Harpo is a high energy dog who most likely has some herding breed in his DNA. He has lived well with other dogs and cats, and he would enjoy the company of older children who could play fetch with him and run around outside with him. He knows sit and come, and he will wait in ‘place’ for his food to be served. Harpo is very smart, and we think he could learn an awful lot of clever stuff from someone who had time to teach him. Harpo loves the snow, mom says, and will slide down the hills on his side, enjoying the slippery, cold feeling on his soft, silky fur. Harpo can get vocal and mouthy when he gets excited, but we are confident that with some good, steady boundaries and some outlets for his energy, he will be able to learn how to express himself in ways that are more appealing to his family. As a good dog trainer friend of ours says, “We are asking dogs not to be dogs when we train them.” This is always a good thought to keep in mind no matter what breed or size of dog you’re working with. Harpo is a loveable, affectionate, and playful fellow who will enjoy running, hiking, and walking with his family!
