My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Neville is an incredibly sweet, playful, affectionate and lovable 18-month-old, 67-pound, male brindle and white pit bull terrier-mix looking for a loving guardian.

“Nevy,” as his friends call him, adores people and gets along with other dogs.

He and two other dogs were turned in to Chicago Animal Care and Control when their owner could no longer care for them. He is full of kisses and tail wags for everyone he meets. He is perfectly housebroken, quiet in the home and wonderful on leash.

He absolutely loves to go on car rides. Neville knows the command sit and takes treats very gently from your fingers. He is living in a foster home and he doesn’t even beg for human food.

He loves to play with ropes and chew bones, and sleep in bed with his foster family.

Neville is very healthy, neutered, up-to-date on rabies and distemper vaccines, micro-chipped, heartworm-tested and on monthly preventative. His adoption fee of $250 benefits the rescued pets of Famous Fido’s. He is currently being fostered in the Chicago suburb of Schaumburg.

If you are interested in adopting him, please fill in the online application at http://famousfidorescue.com/rescueforms/machform/view.php?id=26727 and follow up by calling Gloria at fido@famousfidorescue.com or 773-907-0305.

When Neville and his friends were brought to Chicago Animal Care and Control, he caught kennel cough and needed a foster home with no other dogs. Luckily a lovely couple, Rob and Lara in Schaumburg, stepped forward to care for him until he finds a permanent home. Isolation fosters, like them, are critical to saving lives. If you’d like to foster an at-risk dog, please contact Gloria at Famous Fido’s at fido@famousfidorescue.com or 773-907-0305.
