My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Joy's story is sad, but we are determined not to let it end that way. She was surrendered to the Humane Society where she underwent cataract surgery. She ended up blinded in one eye from the surgery they performed. They were going to euthanize her, but our foster went and saved her life. She is a JOYful 7 year young, 8-10 pound girl. She is probably blind in the one eye, and the other has a cataract, but she does see shadows, and it doesn't stop her AT ALL. She is happy and playful, and content. She is crate trained, and seems potty trained. She gets along with other dogs. She seems to just love everyone that comes into contact with her. We are looking for a family that won't mind she can't see perfectly, and will help her to navigate her new life. She is a darling little girl, and all she needs is YOU!

As part of your adoption package, each dog will be fully vaccinated (Da2PP, Rabies), have a microchip (with lifetime registration), and be spayed/neutered. If the dog is not spayed or neutered at time of adoption, the adopter will be responsible to transport the dog, to and from dropoff/pickup point. Each dog will receive 6 mths of heartworm preventative medication. You will receive a free bag of premium dog food. You are entitled to a free physical exam with one of our vets. Each of our dogs comes with 4 training classes that are mandatory to attend. These classes take place at Choice Pet Market or Market Street Pet Depot or on a Tues or Wed evening from 6-7 pm, and will be scheduled after adoption.
