My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

MEET JACK!! Jack is a super sweet black lab mix who is about a year old. Sadly he was hit by a car and a good samaritan brought him to the emergency hospital where they found out he had a badly broken leg. Jack also sustained some cuts to his face from being hit by the car, but he never let anything bring him down. Despite his injuries, Jack stayed rather calm and cuddly, just wanting attention from anyone who would give it to him. The staff at the emergency clinic checked him for a micrcochip and searched for Jack’s owner, but none could be found, and with such a badly broken leg, help was needed as soon as possible, so LFS stepped in to give him a chance. Jack received surgery to repair his leg a few days ago and is doing well so far. Unfortunately, he’ll have to stay confined for a few weeks to make sure everything heals properly, but he doesn’t seem to mind all the love and snuggles from the vet staff. The cuts on his face are healing, and he’ll be good as new in no time. Jack is a smaller guy at around 45-50 pounds, and though he could stand to gain a few pounds, he’d be a perfect pup for someone looking for a medium sized lab. He’s so loveable. He has the softest fur and very expressive eyes. Jack didn’t seem to mind his cast at all, he just went with the flow. He walks well on a leash and rode well in the car.
Jack’s surgery and care to this point has already reached $2000. As a small rescue, we have limited resources and depend on our amazing followers and volunteers to be able to do what we can to save lives. We don’t like having to ask, but if you could please consider contributing to Jack’s surgery fund, we would be forever grateful and so would Jack (Even if it’s just a dollar). You can visit http://www.labradorfriends.com/2017/03/18/jack-2/ to contribute. Jack sends virtual kisses and cuddles to everyone who helps out! Thank you in advance!!
Once Jack is ready for adoption, we will let you know. We expect him to make a full recovery and go back to being a normal dog soon! If you’d be interested in adopting Jack when the time comes, please visit labradorfriends.com/how-to-adopt or email labfriendinfo@gmail.com for more info. Thanks!
