Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Charming and Regal Sheeva Wants to be Your Best Friend
2-year-old, black and blonde, small, female German Shepherd
Good with other dogs: Yes
Good with children: Unknown
Good with cats: Unknown
Beautiful Sheeva lives up to her name’s meaning: Charming. Sheeva is not only a gorgeous girl, she is
very sweet and loves people and other dogs. Sadly, her own surrendered her to Maricopa County
Animal Care and Control because of neighbour complaints about her barking. But we’ve found that
Sheeva isn’t a huge barker, she likely just needed something to do!
Our volunteers have been working with her to teach her the basic commands, and she’s picking them up
quickly. She really enjoys the agility equipment too. When she arrived, Sheeva was pretty timid, but with
lots of love and attention, she’s come out of her shell and just loves attention!
Sheeva is a young, active dog and will need a family that will give her plenty of mental and physical
stimulation. She does well on a leash, so she’d be a great companion for running, hiking or walking. And
as smart as she is, she’ pick up a dog sport very quickly!
Our beautiful Sheeva is good with other dogs, but we don’t yet know about children or cats, but she’s
got a very charming disposition (hence the name), so we can’t imagine she wouldn’t like at least older
children.
As always, if you are interested in a Saving Paws dog, you must fill out our
online application
to get the
approval process started. We will only schedule meet and greets with an approved application! All staff
members are volunteers and are not compensated for their time and expenses. Many juggle family and
full-time careers while volunteering at Saving Paws. Please be patient as sometimes it takes up to 5 days
to process an application.
