Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Patty was a loved, cherished companion to a women who recently passed away. Her family didn't have anyone that could take Patty, so they took her to the dog pound. Poor Patty went into such a depression, she wouldn't eat or even get up to potty. She just laid curled up in a ball mourning her owner. The volunteers were so worried about her that they took her to the vet, had her examined, and the result was that she was simply depressed. They then called us, and we took her in.
Patty is doing well. She is a happy, friendly dog. She likes other dogs, likes kids, likes to go for walks or just hang out in the house. She barks at "intruders" who knock at the door or while outside in the yard if she sees something that isn't supposed to be there, but other than that, she is pretty quiet. When we got her, she had a urinary tract infection so we are still trying to confirm that she is house trained. The family said she was.
Patty might be 10 years old but you would never know it. JRT's can live to be 17, 18, even 20 years old very easily so please don't let her age stop you from getting a GREAT dog. She just wants to be loved and will give you so much love in return.
