Hello, my name is Monaco! I am such a handsome fellow who just loves be loved. I am a neutered male, shorthaired, black-and-white cat who is around 6 years old. I am an outgoing snuggler, head-butting for pets and scratches is my specialty. If you stop petting me, I will give you kisses until you start again. My siblings Talladega, Watkins and Daytona are also up for adoption. It would be great if I could find a home with one of my siblings. (Note that there is a discount when adopting more than one pet at a time). Talladega, Watkins, Daytona and I really enjoy sleeping and cuddling together. I am the most social and outgoing of my siblings, but I will still need a few days to settle in an get used to new people, new environment, new routine. I'm easily won over with head scratches and back scratches. I also love to chase around my toy octopus; it's so much fun! Of course, I use the litterbox like a good boy. What do you think? Saturday, May 27: Adoption Event at
PetPeople, 6520 Telegraph Rd, Bloomfield Hills. From 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., come meet adoptable cats and kittens on the 4th Saturday of each month (as available - not all adoptable animals will be at every event).

Sunday, August 13: Adoption Event at Dodge Park in Sterling Heights from noon to 4 p.m., come meet adoptable pets at the
2017 Paws in the Park 10-year anniversary celebration for Paws for Life, including adoptable pets, dog walk, family picnic, vendors, dog games and kids' activities. Games, raffles, entertainment and fun for everyone!
Adoption Process: Complete the application at
www.pawsforliferescue.org. We then arrange a location, date and time for you to meet some pets. If the meeting goes well and everyone is happy, you begin the mandatory, minimum two-week adjustment period with the pet as part of your family. You will pay the non-refundable adoption fee at the start of the two-week adjustment period. This pending period allows your new dog or cat time to adjust to their new home, new people, new routine, etc., and for you to decide if it's a match and the right pet for you. At the end of two weeks (some people extend the adjustment time as needed and that's fine too), if everyone is happy, then we finalize the adoption. Feel free to email if you have any questions.
