My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

"Toby" is a handsome 8-year old male Beagle/Australian Cattle Dog (Blue Heeler) mix who was surrendered by his tearful owner on March 27, 2017 for a very sad reason :( Toby's master and best friend had entered an assisted-living facility recently and was not permitted to keep Toby because of a weight restriction (small dogs only). And it also seemed that Toby was a little too vocal with his conversations and was disturbing the peace and tranquility :)

This magnificent little man has a tricolor short smooth coat with beautiful blue- and red ticking, a long tail, and a darling face with a white mask and extra-long brown velvet ears. "Toby" appears to have enhanced his big brown eyes with dark eyeliner. He has an extremely affectionate, outgoing personality and dearly loves attention. "Toby" is a happy boy who has the nicest smile. He is also a bit of a thief since he has already stolen several hearts of shelter staff and volunteers.

"Toby" has a robust physique and weighs 44.2 lbs. He is up-to-date on vaccinations (including Bordetalla and rabies vaccine), and he has been tested (negative) for heartworm.

"Toby" has already been neutered. He is accustomed to wearing a harness (which his previous owner left with him). "Toby" has been kept indoors and is housebroken.

"Toby" is currently making his temporary home in our Adoption Clerk's office and is enjoying a comfy bed and gourmet treats while he waits for someone to fall in love with him and take him to their home.
