Here's what the humans have to say about me:
FOSTER LOCATION: Nampa, ID
Who doesn’t love Peaches! This pretty peach is a lovable, cute 11 pound, 7-year-old Yorkshire Terrier Poodle mix is looking for a great place to land. She came to Fuzzy Pawz Rescue when she found herself in a local shelter; as soon as we met her we knew we couldn’t leave this sweet little waif there so we placed her in one of our foster homes.
Peaches is so sweet! She loves, loves, loves to go for walks; he hops right up on the ottoman when the harness comes out – ever so eager to go. Even better is the walks nicely on leash. Peach also love to ride in cars, and to just sit and be pet. Peaches is house trained, will sleep in a crate peacefully, and knows how to use a dog door. Peaches also loves to play chase the ball, not that she always brings it back!
She is well socialized and gets along well with other dogs and any people she meets. We don’t know about cats; but she is so easy going we would guess she would be fine. She is blind in one eye, apparently from an old injury, but this doesn’t slow her down in the least.
Peaches doesn’t seem to have had much obedience training. She doesn’t know the sit command, although does seem to know “stay”. She is just learning her name, so that is likely limiting her recall skills.
She is a very active dog, and a little barky when someone passes by her window. Peaches also has a tendency to get territorial of her person around other dogs. This behavior should not be encouraged. Peaches needs a home with someone who knows the terrier breed and is willing to give her the exercise she needs. She cannot go to a home with kids under 12. Peaches is a happy-go-lucky girl that needs stimulation, exercise and then some down time with her people.
Peaches, while currently trimmed, will need regular professional grooming, and brushing in-between grooming sessions. That curly hair will mat if not cared for!
Peaches is spayed, microchipped, and vaccinated.
Her adoption fee is $125.00.
