Wesley's Story...

My name is Wesley. One of TXCR's foster moms found me running on a very busy street. All attempts to find my owner were unsuccessful, so now I'm available for adoption. The folks at TXCR rescue sure must love me! They bathed all the fleas off of me and feed me all the time! My skinny butt went to the vet, and I got all my shots and a checkup! They also got me neutered, but that's okay. I am doing super great in my foster home, walking very proudly on a leash each evening and playing with my foster sister. I am 2 years old and weigh about 12 lbs. Everyone is so proud that I have learned to use the doggy door and learning the potty training thing.

If you would like to adopt Wesley, please fill out an application at His adoption fee, including transportation with vetting paperwork, microchip registration to adopter, collar & harness, is $500 CDN. DOGS 8 MONTHS OLD AND UNDER MUST BE PICKED UP IN BUFFALO BY THE ADOPTER(S).

Texas Chihuahua Rescue is based in San Antonio, Texas. This dog is being fostered in the San Antonio area. Additional photos and videos will be made available to potential adopters upon approval of our online adoption application. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Wesley, a Hamilton Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Hamilton, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Hamilton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hamilton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hamilton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hamilton paves the way for another one to be saved.
