Here's what the humans have to say about me:
The very first thing that Cody the beautiful Schnauzer/Poodle mix (These photos definitely don't do this guy justice...he's so cute!) wants to make clear is that he's a LOVE! His adorable little nose sniffs shyly at an outstretched hand...and then an ear to ear smile if it's a loving touch. Then before you know it, Cody is in your lap. He's so happy there because his human relationships are so important to him.
This 8 year old, 15 lb Schnauzer mix truly lights up when he feels like he's done a good job... some serious hugging and kind words will send him over the moon. Cody is such a people dog. He enjoys humans of every age group ...but we are searching for an adult or older children only home for this very sweet guy. Cody can become overwhelmed by chaos...therefore a family with very young children living in the home will not be considered.
We also envision Cody with a retired couple or individual who want an adorable guy in their lives. Cody, at about 8 years old is in the prime of his life. Schnauzer/Terrier mixes, with great and loving care, live to a very ripe old age.
Cody would be so excited to spend his days in the company of his people....he's quiet and mellow enough to spend his afternoon snoozing on the couch or would be just as happy to go for a long walk just as long as he's with his person. Cody would also be a perfect office dog in a dog-friendly workplace. He would be so well behaved and respectful (as long as he can sleep on your feet...great foot warmer).
Cody can initially have moments of shyness from the turmoil that has been in his life...a guardian who is present and full of good intention can readily get this great pup past any insecure feelings and let him know he is loved and will never be abandoned.
Cody will be arriving on transport in Boulder on Friday 4/7/17. If interested in this sweet and devoted best friend, please fill out an application at http://farfelsrescue.com/adoption/ and submit to farfelsapps@gmail.com or fax to 303-443-7730.
