Harley is a little teddy bear. He would love a family that would give him constant attention. If you let him he would only leave your lap to go on a walk and eat. This Norfolk Terrier mix came to Fuzzy Pawz Rescue when his family could no longer care for him.
At 9 years old and 12 lbs this sturdy guy can walk for miles and miles; he frequently goes hiking in the foothills with his foster family and loves it. He does chase squirrels and in true terrier fashion tries to hunt his foster mom’s pet rabbit so he needs a fenced yard and to be kept away from any non dog small pets. He should only go to a home with a cat who wouldn’t be scared if he came up and sniffed, over time Harley would stop being too interested in a cat because all he cares about is his humans; however supervision would be required for a few months.
He doesn’t mind other dogs but he is not a good doggy play buddy – he has been in foster care about a month and has never played with his doggy foster brothers or sisters. He would love to be a hiking partner to an active family. He loves to play with toys. He walks well on leash and is completely house trained. He sits by the back door to let you know he wants to go outside. While he does not like to go into a crate on his own he does not whine once he is in one. He rides well in cars.
Harley is great with people and loves everyone he meets and we think he would do just fine with kids over 5.
If you are looking for an active buddy who is also happy to curl up in your lap Harley might just be the boy for you.
Harley is neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated.
