Adopting a mature dog means you will gain a best friend who demands less and gives more. Australian Shepherd mix Adelina is a seven-year-old who always has a smile on her face and a wag in her tail. She is a 40-pound beauty who, true to the genetics of her breed, is an intelligent dog. She already knows the cues for sit, stay, fetch, and off. An older dog is less destructive; Adelina is house and crate trained, and she will be a calmer presence. Adelina will make a great family pet; she is good with strangers and with older kids. She will just need to be the only dog in her new home. If you are looking for a partner to stroll about town, Adelina is good on a leash and would love to join you. The love a mature dog can give is unparalleled. The adoption fee is $150 and includes spaying/neutering, age-appropriate vaccinations, microchipping, and a free wellness visit with our vet. Our adoption hours are Thursday-Saturday from 11:00 am-4:00 pm, and Mondays by appointment, and we are located at 10220 N. 32nd Street (just south of Shea Blvd.) in Phoenix. Out-of-state adoptions to surrounding states are possible; however, an in-person introduction with us and our dogs is mandatory. We offer a low-cost vaccine clinic on Sundays from 11:00 am-2:30 pm, and a low-cost dental clinic on Wednesdays by appointment. Visit our website at www.homefurgood.org for more information.
