Oreo's Story...
Oreo is a 8 yr old, 14 lb, long haired Chihuahua that was surrendered to a kill shelter with 5 of her "siblings" after their mom died. The family did not want to be bothered with them. She is amazing. She is very very sweet and bonds with you very fast. She sleeps with her foster mom and follows her everywhere. She listens and obeys instructions. She was recently spayed and doing great. She appears to be housetrained. Can't stress enough how wonderful she is. Her adoption fee is $175

Our fees vary based on the animal. Low Cost Heartworm prevention is available for all animals that we adopt out. Please ask your volunteer for prices.

We are a RESCUE ORGANIZATION; please complete your online Adoption Application, which can be found on our website. We require an adoption application, vet reference, and a home visit with the pet. ALL of our pets are spayed or neutered prior to being adopted. They are UTD on shots, heartworm negative or treated, and micro chipped. They must be kept on heartworm preventative. Our adoption fees vary. Puppies have an increased adoption fee since they need three or four sets of shots, multiple de-wormings, and other puppy needs to keep them healthy.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Oreo, a Garland Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Garland, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Garland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Garland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Garland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Garland paves the way for another one to be saved.
