My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

We used to say that Tinker was a stinker. When we rescued her from a kill shelter, they handed her to us using a catch pole. Her foster mom kept her in her crate until she got home and opened the door. It took her 5 days before she came out of the closet she was hiding in. When she did, she jumped on the couch and into her foster mom’s lap. It still took her some time to trust but now, watch out. She loves to play, be held, jump in your arms, kiss on you.

She is still shy of strangers and takes a moment to be comfortable. Makes you wonder what some human did to her. Tinker is a 7 yr old Chihuahua terrier mix. She is fully vetted as well as micro-chipped. Her adoption fee is $125.

NOTE: Once Tinker loves you, she loves you forever. We have a volunteer who wasn't able to help for a little over two years and then she came back to volunteer for us. As soon as Tinker saw her, she was crazy with happiness and eagerness to get to her. As soon as Tinker was picked up, she hugged and kissed the volunteer. Another sweet thing Tinker does is run around and then slide to a stop at your feet and instantly roll over on her back for a belly rub. It is so cute to see her do that.
