Here's what the humans have to say about me:
TROOPER HAS BEEN ADOPTED!Trooper is a super sweet, gentle and easy-going 4-year-old, 65-pound male German Shepherd. This pleasant fellow was rescued from an animal control facility in Kentucky. His previous owner was a state trooper (hence his name) and he was purchased as a puppy from a breeder. Trooper has been very well loved and cared for his entire life but Trooper is a wanderer, and his owner was not able to get his property fenced. There were small children in the home and he would often slip out if the kids left the door open and he'd go off on his own adventures. His owner did not want him to get injured or killed on the road, so he regrettably surrendered him for placement. Becuase of this, Trooper will need a securely fenced yard or he will need to be leashed walked. Troop can be a bit bashful when meeting new people, but he warms up very quickly. He loves belly rubs and car rides and hanging out with his humans. Trooper is very well behaved in the home, is house broken and is also crate trained. He is also living in a foster home with several other dogs and is getting along well with everyone. We here at Pal's Place have a soft spot German Shepherds, so we knew we couldn't leave this guy behind and brought him up to Chicago to join our foster program. He loves his foster home, but he'd love even more to meet his forever family soon! There is nothing not to like about Trooper, please come and meet him today!
•Trooper's adoption donation is $275. This donation helps to cover his neuter, initial vaccines, initial worming, and microchip. Pal's Place relies solely on donations to care for the pets in our care. Your donation also helps save other animals like Trooper from euthanasia.
