PJ's Story...
Please adopt me. My name is PJ. I am 8 months old and a boy. My foster dad found me wandering in a parking lot where they feed other cats. You see I had a home. I thought I was loved and wanted by my sweet mom. Then one day someone came and picked me up and just left me in the parking lot. I remember mom crying really hard. I just could not figure out what was going on. I just loved my mom soooo very much and she loved me.
When foster dad picked me up I was not happy. I was waiting for mom to come and get me. I went to the doctor’s and was neutered, whatever that means, and have had my shots. I guess my mom is never coming back. Foster dad said that he will find me a good home with another mom who will be able to keep me forever. I have a secret to tell you—I am a mommy’s boy at heart. Wouldn’t you give me a second chance at a wonderful life? Please call 516-781-1267

Why Adoption is a Great Option

PJ, a Great Neck Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Great Neck, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Great Neck.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Great Neck already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Great Neck breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Great Neck paves the way for another one to be saved.
