Paloma is a 1-year old little girl who has had a rough, sad start to her young life, but who has quickly blossomed in foster care. Paloma was with a woman who cut off her tail with scissors and tried to drown her in a bucket of water. Luckily, the woman's young daughter rescued Paloma from the bucket and ran with her to a neighbor's house for safety. Through the young girl's heroic actions and wonderful rescue organizations, Paloma was brought into foster care through CRSD in the beginning of April. Paloma was skin and bones and very weary when we got her. However, she has quickly been gaining weight, and within 24 hours began interacting with her foster brothers (human and canine) and foster mama. She is an affectionate, loving little girl who still has a puppy personality. She loves to run and play, chew on your fingers and toys, and interacts well with other dogs, cats and people. But just as much as she loves to play, she loves her naps! She will snuggle into your face and neck and give you kisses, and you will quickly fall in love with her spotted nose and ears. She may be a bit timid at first due to her abusive background, but she warms up quickly and has adapted easily to things that initially scared her. Paloma is spayed and up-to-date with all of her shots. She weighs about 7 pounds, but she is a muscular little beauty who will probably weigh about 9-10 pounds at her ideal weight. She is doing great with her potty training, but will need some reminders for a while.
