My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Leena- 2 year old spayed female border collie mix
Leena is a very special girl. She came to us from a full rural shelter. She was at risk because she was very fearful and would be considered non-adoptable. Our hope was outside the shelter that Leena would do better. Unfortunately we quickly learned that Leena was not just afraid in a shelter but pretty much afraid of most things. We feel she was very close to being a feral dog with little to no socialization in her life. We raised funds to get her into to a board and train program with a special trainer to help Leena so she might one day find a home and not live in a state of fear.

Leena has finished her official training and ready for a home and person to continue to work with her. She has made great progress and has learned new skills like sit, and heel but more importantly she has built a lot of confidence. She is dog friendly and recently just joined in with other dogs in play (which is a big deal for Leena).

Leena's rehabilitation will continue to be a work in progress so she will require a patient adopter who is willing to further work with Leena with the guidance of her trainer.
