Mochi
Born ~September 2015, F, Silver Shaded Persian
There are times when, despite our very best efforts, proper introductions, and giving it ample time, little kitties just don’t get along – period. This is the only reason why the owner of this adorable little cat has contacted our organization to help rehome her.
Mochi was adopted from a shelter where she had come in as a stray in late February 2016. At that time the shelter estimated she was about 7 months old, so Mochi’s estimated birthday is September 2015.
Her owner was so excited about rescuing and bringing home such a precious and adorable little kitty. She figured that Mochi and her 10 year old female Persian would get along just fine. However, her resident kitty has been an only child and apparently is lacking the tolerance for having a little “crazy kitten” around. Mochi’s exuberance and rough playing are not appreciated whatsoever by this older, sweet, and mellow kitty. Thus Mochi’s owner has come to the conclusion (with a very heavy heart, so expect tears on the day of the adoption) that it will be best to find Mochi a better suited forever home.
Her current owner states that Mochi is truly adorable and even though she is over a year old now, everything is a toy and she finds every little shadow and beam of light exciting. Everyone that sees her just goes on and on how adorable she is.
Mochi must be strictly an indoor kitty; she is too fast and would quickly bolt away if she were to be allowed outside. She simply loves life as well as shadows, string toys, laser toy, and little soft balls. She is very curious and will cause you to look at everything differently. Mochi is litter box perfect, uses the scratching posts and loves climbing high up into the kitty condo, looking out the windows, or lying on her back in a sun spot.
She would love to spend some time in bed with her people but generally she sleeps out in the living room in various places. She likes to be groomed at home or at the groomers but does not love to have her nails trimmed. She enjoys wet food in the morning and free feeds on dry food during the day.
Her current owner will miss Mochi’s silly, curious ways and adorable little face. She only wants her to go to a home that will cherish, protect, and spoil this little feline, and give her the best life ever.
