My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sheba was dropped off at a public shelter because she did not get along with the children in the family...it's hard to believe that this 8 mos. old kitten cutie did anything more than do what comes naturally... and play. Perhaps it was too rough as she had no other outlet or feline companion to wrestle/pounce/chase with... or perhaps she was mishandled by the children causing her to act out in defense. All we know is that this sweetie is deserving of a home where her people will appreciate her and provide her with lots of toys, playtime and love.. Sheba is a high energy girl who sometimes gets over stimulated and playbites...she still needs to be taught some kitty manners but is young enough to learn. She loves pets and will rub against your legs. Her two favorite activities are playing with wand toys and checking out any running water...she is fascinated!!. Sheba loves to hang out with her person wherever you are in the house and has formed the habit of coming to bed with her foster mom.. Despite her occasional rowdiness, she is a great little buddy who will meet you at the door when you get home and make you laugh with her silly antics every day. She's also an expert fly chaser!. Sheba has no fear of new people. It takes her about 2 seconds to start rubbing on legs and looking for pets and head scratches. While not always ready to cuddle, she is playful and social. Sheba would be purrfect for someone who wants a companion to their own cuddly cat and doesn't need her to be the object of much affection, except when she asks. Can you give her a second chance and a loving home? Meet her in her Annandale, VA foster home. Updated 7/19/17

** Did you know that black cats are half as likely to be adopted as other colors and are considered to be the underdog of the cat world? Give Sheba a chance and she'll prove what a loving companion she can be! **
