Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Roo is a one year old Blue Heeler mix who was found bedded down one night in a ditch in the country by a kind Good Samaritan. Efforts to locate her owners were not fruitful, so EARS was able to take in Roo with the help of a caring foster home. She weighs 27 pounds which is just right, not too small and not to big. Roo is very sweet and was so thankful to have someone save her. She gets along well with the other dogs, and even cats, in her foster home. This sweet little girl will melt your heart! Roo is gentle with adults and children and she loves to be petted anywhere and everywhere. She LOVES her belly rubs! Roo is not food aggressive and waits patiently for you to put her bowl down and she already knows the sit command. Roo has a huge heart ready to love everyone she meets. She would love to come be your new family member!
We are a RESCUE GROUP, not a shelter, and all of our animals are in foster homes. To start the adoption process, email us at adoptions@earstexas.org requesting an application. Submitting an application does not commit you in any way, but helps us make the best match between people and our available dogs. Your current or past dogs must be spayed or neutered, on heartworm prevention, and be primarily inside dogs or we will not consider your application to adopt. All of the dogs in our program are inside dogs and are completely vetted including all vaccinations, spayed/neutered, free of internal parasites, microchipped, heartworm negative and on prevention before adoption. Our adoption process includes an application, check of vet records or personal references, interview, neutral site meet & greet with the dog and your family, and a home visit.
