My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Chocolate
~Born 12 /1/16, M, Ebony, Ghost-Spotted Ocicat
Adoption Fee $275

Here is wonderful little Chocolate, Cinnamon Spot’s brother. He is bigger than his brother and a bit more confident than Cinnamon who has always been the “little brother.” They are very bonded. When Cinnamon went to be neutered and they were separated, Chocolate was so affectionate with him rubbing against him and putting a paw around him, when he returned that I decided then and there they had to stay together. Ebony Ghost Spotted colored kitties with this rich Chocolate brown color are very unusual. He is a beautiful kitten now and will be magnificent when he is a full grown kitty.

Ocicats are a breed that has been carefully bred to look like spotted wild Ocelots but they have all domestic cat genes in them as opposed to Bengals, for example, who have some Asian Leopard Cat in their heritage. Ocicats have been bred from Siamese and Abyssinian and American Shorthairs and have been shown in CFA cat shows since 1986. They are very beautiful, athletic, medium-sized cats. These kitties generally need the company of other cats to be happy though they say sometimes the right dog can be their companion. They are social, fun loving, active kitties. They like strangers and make good family cats. And yes, they are great jumpers and love high places.

Chocolate is a happy, healthy boy. He is a mischievous trouble maker. The world is his toy, and the people in it are his toys. It is such fun watching him and Cinnamon play together, two little spotted kittens having a great time. These two boys must go home together. Of course, they are both neutered, vaccinated, micro-chipped etc.

Chocolate eats wet and dry food and is litterbox perfect. His foster mom is Harriet in Santa Cruz.

Contact Harriet at (831) 336-2983 or toharrietjane@comcast.net if you have questions, or send an Adoption Application. If you are unable to reach Harriet by phone or email, email us at Info@purebredsplus.org.

NOTE: We prefer families with children bring them to the adoption appointment. Why? This allows interaction between the children and the cat. This helps ensure they will be a good fit for each other. A mismatch between a child and a cat is not in anyone’s best interest!
