Here's what the humans have to say about me:
American Girl
Born: 04/29/2014
American is a sweet, cuddly girl who wants nothing more than to be as close to her humans as possible. She will cuddle up right next to you and tuck her nose in behind your neck to get even closer. She craves attention and needs to be close to humans. She is dog door trained and currently lives with a cat but would NOT suggest she live with a cat unless the cat believes it is also a dog.
American would be the ideal dog for someone who works from home. She enjoys destroying stuffies and being so much puppy you need to take care where you leave items. She is still young with puppy energy. She is smart; give her love, time, attention and set boundaries, she will mature into a wonderful little gal.
She is great with stairs and has also done well travelling in vehicles and has even gone camping several times. As long as she’s with a human, she is happy to do whatever you would like. I think she would also be a great running partner if you train her to go longer distances as she is a bottomless pit of energy. She does well on a leash and loves to show you how excited she is when you come through the door…even if you were outside for only a brief time.
We actually use a maze bowl with her for feedings as she will swallow everything whole without chewing, and this slows her down and makes her chew the food a little.
All in all, American has adjusted to life really well, and she really just needs a family who will spoil her with cuddles and allow her to be the center of attention.
