Candy's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, purebred, in need of an experienced adopter, up to date with shots, not good with kids, and good with dogs.

Candy's Story...
Candy is a five year old pure bred Maltese who was surrenedered by the family of an elderly couple who could no longer take of her and Princess. Candy is very affectionate once she gets to know you and would truly like to be your couch buddy as often as possible. Candy prefers to be with women and has a tendency to give a warning growl when strangers try to pick her up. She is currently living with a family and children who are quite experienced with dogs, but we are requiring adults only for Candy's new home.Candy's foster home has several dogs but the only one she ever tries to play with is Princess, the older girl she came here with. She is house broken. If you think you can provide the love and patience Candy will need from her new family, your first step is to copy and paste this link to your web browser to fill out our online application, http://members.petfinder.com/~CT243/sampleform.html. Candy has been spayed, is up to date on shots and microchipped, included in her $350 adoption fee. Transport up north is an additional $120.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Candy, a Westport Maltese dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maltese for sale in Westport, or seeking a Maltese dog from a breeder in Westport.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Westport already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Westport breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maltese breeders who help with Maltese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Westport paves the way for another one to be saved.
