My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Adopted - May 2017

I’m Phoebe!

I’m an 8 yr old (born in 2009) Female Shihtzu mix, non-shedding. I’m house trained, up to date on vaccinations, and I’ve been spayed as well.

I wasn’t feeling so good when I was picked up by MAR, my parents had just broken up and I had no where to stay. Also my ears hurt so bad I wanted to rip them off. Then I went to what they call a foster home and things have gotten way better! They put wet drops in my ears and man oh man do they feel great now. I may have some “flare ups” down the road but a few drops and I’m good to go.

Turns out I’m a sweet happy girl who loves being with people. I enjoy walking with them, I’m great on leash, and I really love going for car rides. I make sure I’m really well behaved in the car so they will take me out again and again! I get along fine with the resident dog but sometimes I get a little barky when I meet a new dog while out for a walk. I am totally trustworthy when left alone at home, I don’t get into mischief and I don’t have any accidents either. I’m really good at letting you know when I do gotta go, I just hang by the door or give you the “gotta go now” stare...lol

There is nothing I love more than treats! I kinda have a bad habit of staring at you when you eat something that just looks so appealing to me but my foster Mama has told me that is rude so when I do it she tells me “Don’t be rude” and I know that’s my cue to look away or go lie down.

Though life is pretty good at my foster home, I’d really like to find a forever home of my own, can you help me?
